I am so excited to share another trick with you all!!
Whenever I buy 1 kg pack of jaggery, I always find it very hard to break in small pieces. It may be because I live in Canada where weather is cold most of the time. I am sure many of you relate to this pain. I take help of my son in breaking jaggery. I know he hates that 😀 😀 but I can’t help. So when I finally figured out how to easily break very hard jaggery chuck into small pieces, I was so thrilled and wanted to share with you all. I was done in less than 3 minutes.
Remove jaggery from plastic wrap or container. Put in a microwave safe plate. Microwave it for around 25-35 seconds, yes you read it right! I first microwave for 15 seconds and then 20 seconds. I was cautious as I did not want it to melt. Then I used butter knife to break in big chunks and then with my hands I made the small pieces. And I was done. It took me less than 3 minutes from start to finish.
