People sprout beans using many different technique. Some tie them in muslin cloth, some use sprouting jar. I have learned few tricks over the years. It is very easy, doesn’t require fancy equipment or cloth. It sprouts within 48 hours even in Canada where weather is so cold.
Sprouting grains increases many of the grains‘ key nutrients, including B vitamins, vitamin C, folate, fiber, and essential amino acids often lacking ingrains, such as lysine.

Any beans like Bengal gram, dried mung beans, black beans, etc.
1. Clean the beans, wash with water and soak it in water for 4-5 hours covering lid until beans double in size. 2. Remove all water except just keep slight water so beans remains moist. cover with lid and put heavy weight on the top, I put my cast iron pan. This way it builds pressure inside.
3. In 24 hours you will see sprout starts to come out. If you see beans dries out, add 1 tsp water to moist.4. In 48 hours beans are fully sprouted. Keep longer if you want longer sprouts. You can use it in salad, raita, or just make simple curry.
I am sure you will love this easy to sprout idea.
